What a tremendous effor by both A.J. Acosta and Andrew Wheating. To break the school record of the University of Oregon is no small accomplishment. Both have forever etched their names on the tablets of greatness. Nos. 1 and 3 is not too shabby! Great run guys.
Also, can anyone tell me what has happened to Mac Fleet, he has dropped off the radar screen after his qualifying attemt at Austin Texas??

Andy and AJ both thought they could realistically run a 3:55 at this meet. Both have been keying off each other in the races leading up to this final event of their season. In the past, they have used the final 200 as the "pull the trigger" point but this week, in both their Mile events, they were already up to speed well back down the far straightaway. I've seen Centro do it this year, and Jordan Hasay just last week at the USATF Junior 1500.
One can picture the coaching staff and these superb runners themselves training through the latter part of this season for these long punishing kicks, 300 not 200 meters. Amazing season this year Oregon coaches and runners!
